Bell TotalVision?

Can anyone tell me more about the Bell TotalVision system they had going in the 90's? It seemed interesting and stupid that they canned it.

My family had it. It was amazing. It was our first broadband Internet connection and it flew. TV quality, as I remember, was also quite good. The installer wired up our whole house for coaxial cable so that we could watch it on all our TVs.

I forget now whether it came into our house over phone line or coaxial...in fact I suspect it may have been coaxial. The service, in general, is quite similar to Bell Fibe. I suppose at the time it wasn't financially viable for Bell to roll out all their own coaxial cabling, but now that we have VDSL they can just reuse their old phone wiring.

the Radio Canada Article talk about 2 coaxial cable. One for the TV and one for the Internet. Bell claimed that it would be impossible to offer the service on the entire province of Quebec has the cost to laying 2 cable was prohibitive.
