[motherboard] a couple of amd athlon xp processors and some timeI am not going to profess being the expert on this, it was a thought that popped in my head. I have a couple of older athlon xp processors (one at 1.2ghz one and 1.1ghz) was thinking, and if I can still find a board, dual core type of unit.
Assuming I can find a board and such would both xp processors do it?
Friday night thought as I wind down for the night. |

I believe you have to have matched CPUs for dual socket boards.
I also don't think it's worth sinking any money into a board for such ancient processors at all. At those speeds, they are probably about 12 years old. IIRC, socket A (462) required the "MP" variety of processors for dual socket boards anyway. |
