Re: What country are sharp window air conditioners made? I thought sharp would of at least made them in thailand or something. But I guess thats asking too much now a days. They better drop those high prices on that china junk then!
Does any one make a unit that is not made in china? |

They're a for-profit company and if they can have their product(s) made in a location that maintains their quality levels (you can get high-quality from China - it's up to the company and the standards they demand) and has the lowest costs (i.e. labor), they're going to ! |

Or, that factory could have made the same (internal) microwave for Sharp, LG, Panasonic, and more and just put different faceplates on it. |

Same but mine is from 2000.. still works but I replaced it with a Panasonoc (made in china) I needed something bigger and the sensor cook is nice.

This was something of a running joke in the original Back to the Future movie! Growing up in the 70's, our family considered Made in Japan to be a sign of crap. We wanted Made in the USA. China wasn't even on the horizon back then. We (my immediate family and my parents) still try to buy Made in the USA as much as possible. Sometimes it's not, but mostly we try. -- So it is a tax! Now what do you say, you lying sack of crap? Or would you prefer I just hand over my entire paycheck, jackass? |

I had one Toyota a 1990 pickup we inherited when my FIL died. That was the first and "LAST" Toyota I'll ever have in my driveway. |

Occasional bad cars happen. Sometimes a maker will have an entire line that's bad for a particular model year. | I don't think they're overrated either. My family has mostly owned Japanese cars and have been very happy. The few deviations into American car territory have not gone well. -- So it is a tax!
