Re: BBC World News cropped BBC World News is produced completely in native HD like Al Jazeera but it only a 16:9 SD signal is given to carriers.
They did have a native HD feed up on Galaxy 13 C-Band last year but it's since been encrypted. There is not a single provider who carries the network in HD so IDK what the point of that is.
1) Why have they had a HD feed up for months if no one is using it?
2) Why don't they leave it unencrypted for now and at least let a handful of people with C Band dishes see it? WHY ARE THEY PAYING MONEY FOR TRANSPONDER SPACE TO BROADCAST SOMETHING NOBODY CAN SEE. It makes no sense. It makes no sense.
I really sympathize with the British who have to shell out hundreds of dollars annually to fund this badly run behemoth. |
