Doesn't almost every browser allow to block 3rd-party cookies?

(Personally I prefer cupcakes )

Yep, they do...and me too. (The cupcakes, that is). Cookies only get baked and stay in my kitchen for any amount of time when I explicitly allow them. (Well, ok, it's really my wife's kitchen, but you guys know what I mean).
