Just received bill, STB Increase not included

Just got my new bill covering Jun 28 to Jul 27. It does not have the STB increase on it, which if I remember, goes into effect on July 15th.

Wonder why? The bill covers through that date.

You pay "ahead" for STB rentals, so it should have been included at least for a partial month. Will probably get hit w/a partial and full next month.

You pay ahead but you can't be paying for something that isn't in effect yet. Once the new price is live, they will be able to charge you that price for a future month.

Shouldn't the system be able to know about a price increase that starts on a certain date?

I guess it's different for everyone. My STB rates increased 2 months ago.

I am also not on a contract. Not sure if that matters though.

Everyone is subject to the STB Rate increase as far as I know.

In the past for me, increases have shown up on the bill following the date of the increase. So if the increase is for July 15th, the bill you got (on or about June 28th) would not include the increase. I suspect it will be there on the July 29 (or so) bill. Or maybe they missed your account for the increase, in which case just be happy.

Does anyone know if the upcoming $2 price increase applies to all DVRs or just multi-room DVRs? The statement on Verizon's site isn't clear. If mine is going to go from $17 to $19, I might have to spring for another TIVO.

said by Verizon :

Beginning July 15, 2012, the monthly rate for FiOS set top boxes, digital adapters, set top boxes in equipment packages and Multi-Room DVRs in equipment packages will increase approximately $2.00 per box. In NY/N-NJ/CT, only the monthly rate for digital adapters and set top boxes in equipment packages will increase approximately $2.00 per box.

This is how I read Verizon's equipment price changes:

DA: $3.99 + $2.00 = $5.99
STB: $9.99 + $2.00 = $11.99
STB in equipment package: +$2.00
MRDVR in equipment package: +$2.00

NY/N-NJ/CT only:
DA: $3.99 + $2.00 = $5.99
STB in equipment package: +$2.00

Standalone prices for CableCARDs, DVRs, and MRDVRs are the same (DVRs the other month already had their price increase from 15.99 to 16.99 and the elimination of the grandfathered 12.99 price).
