Go to Lowe's Depot and get some foam backer rod. It's less than $5. Pack it in the gap.

That's so very odd. All a/c I have ever seen have a recirc position as well.

If you use it, it'll make a hell of a mess, and glue the AC in. I wouldn't do it.

As mentioned before, get some foam backer rod. It is a round foam strip available in different diameters. You can find it in the weatherstripping area or for the large size (1") possibly the concrete area of Lowes or Home Depot. It is compressible so you can get a larger size than the gap you are trying to fill. Just cut to length and stuff into the cracks.

That's what I was thinking too. They don't make 'em like that anymore (with good reason!!!).

But he can't afford a new one because his electricity bill eats up all his AC budget!

I put the backer rod on both the a/c units in the kitchen n the living room ones
and its holding the cool air inside longer
during the night i had only one a/c going in the kitchen and its holding it at 75"
befoire i had to have both a/c's units running to maintain the cool air inside..
i love it
if only i have known about this back rod.. a long time ago..

Not sure whether you are serious, but perhaps you need to check the temperature setting on your water heater. It is only supposed to produce hot water not steam!

Does it still make that noise if you temporarily remove the shower head ?

Sounds like harmonics from one of the taps, or a restriction (water saver crap?) in the shower head.

Check head first, and then hot/cold water alone.

A possible restriction in the shower head. Remove and clean and try. Or possible air entering the line somewhere.
