[Connectivity] sb6120 worked fine for a year, now it's dropping

A little less than a year back, ComcastSteve successfully got my shiny new SB6120 up and running for me, and until about two days back, it had been going great. Unfortunately, my network has become increasingly unreliable, and I've narrowed the problem to almost certainly being the modem. I did this by trying multiple different routers connected to the modem, and observing the same problems:

1) I can access my internal network fine, but no traffic can get out to the wider internet, even directly from the router itself (i.e., I SSH into it and try from there, no luck)

2) Renewing / releasing the DHCP lease results only in giving up the current address and not being able to get a new one.

3) Rebooting the router also fails to pull a new DHCP-leased IP.

4) Rebooting the cable modem (even without rebooting the router) fixes the problem: a new IP address is acquired and it proceeds to work fine again for a matter of minutes to hours. Then the whole thing happens again.

I see failures in the modem's log, and can paste them, but they're the kind of things I'm seeing reported elsewhere on the site (R02.0, R03.0, R04.0, R06.0, etc.). The difference for me is that literally nothing has changed in my configuration or physical residence that could have caused this (to my knowledge; Comcast or someone else could have done something behind the scenes, I guess). Plus the signal seems good as it satisfies the criteria specified here: »Cable Modems and Wiring Issues »What kind of signal levels do I want on my cable modem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps ComcastSteve or a compatriot can rescue me again?

Thanks a ton!

If you really want help from ComcastSteve you might stand a better chance of getting it if you posted your request (along with your account information) in the »Comcast Direct forum.

I replaced my SB6120 by uBee DDM3513 I bought on Ebay December last year.
Problems Solved!
They told me, some Cisco CMTS are not 100% compatible with SB6120.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try posting in there as well. I was just fishing out here for some pointers from the general populace first, hehe.
