From a family member

Would not want them to see some of the things I have on my PC

Are you both using the same user account? If not you can change the security on the drive and or folder to not allow them access.

You can encrypt an entire drive or partition with TrueCrypt. When not mounted it looks like a RAW (e.g., unformatted) volume full of random junk.

It can also do hidden partitions behind decoy partitions.

For free you can try this:

»[Updated] WinMend Folder Hidden v1.4.6

It works fine with Win7 64 bit. But all it does is hide the data, it does not really encrypt it. It will work fine to conceal porn sensitive financial records from your Mom, but is not recommended for situations where serious security is needed. For that you want bit locker (included in Win7 ultimate) or TrueCrypt (free).

If you want to hide an entire drive, consider disabling it in your BIOS, or removing the drive letter in Windows Disk Management.

Run = diskmgmt.msc. Right click on the volume you want to hide and select "Change drive letter and paths" Then select "Remove."
The drive will be completely hidden and inaccessible until you assign it a drive letter.
