Re: HBO GO not available from Comcast?

It costs them money/time to make the software compatible and they don't see an outweighing reason to do it.

I installed HBO GO channel on my Roku. Launching the channel, I pressed BROWSE HBO GO ...

HBO GO does work on the Roku, it just does not authenticate for full featured programming i.e., you can see samples and some full length programs (I do not know if they have been edited). A

So it is not a matter of coding, but of figuring out why making their customers mad is such a great business case.

I was told that Comcast is going to allow HBO Go on Roku and currently it's in WIP. Customers will be notified through emails once the process is complete.

I don't know what you're trying to say here.

HBO GO being compatible with the software on your device is not Comcast' responsibility.

Its the part where Comcast has to authenticate that they have to make their infrastructure compatible with other devices.

And they either haven't completed that work or haven't been persuaded it was cost effective to do the work necessary to authenticate other devices.
