latency...?

The only numbers that really matter to me are the latency, and from just the one image I can see of all these, its awful. 700+? that's insane. I'd be up for this service (in the sticks, no other option) but that latency doesn't even come close to being worth it to me. Tell me I'm not actually seeing these 700+ms times..

Fortunately latency is not an issue for me. I only use Facebook and Skype to connect with family, email and web browsing for research.

Thank you for the review - I find it discouraging that the 5Mpbs service has degraded, hopefully they can resolve the issues.

All the marketing hype in the world can't change the physics of a 20,000+ kilometer connection. 700ms+ for Satellite is actually 'good' relatively speaking... I can't believe that OP Skype's over that though...

Re: latency... and performance improvement

Feedback I have received regarding recent degraded speed "there are some issues and they will be resolved as quickly as possible by XCI ... hopefully within the next two weeks." Latency of course is what it is with the distances involved, but I have found that Skype works quite well with it. The issue right now is XCI getting their traffic shaping fine tuned, and striking a balance between customer load and available bandwidth (which isn't cheap).
