[WildBlue] lol more WB shenanigans
Perhaps this would fit better in the rants section but i think people really need to know the kinda crap this company pulls on it's customers. Ok as you guys know i have been trying to downgrade for a few months now. Well here is what wb has done this month they charged me for the 79 dollar pack - a 30 dollar credit as they still had me on that pack when they bill came out then sometime since 9 am this morning i get downgraded to the select service. So now i've already paid for another month of the propack but i will only get the select pack level of service so that's the first way i'm being cheated.It gets better though. Once the downgrade me obviously my usage percentage goes up. Well when i get on my comp just a few minutes ago i notice it's running like i;ve been faped. Keep in mind at this time i don't yet know that i've been downgraded. So i go to my usage meter and it says i've been downgraded to the select pack and that i'm at 98 percent. Here's the important part 98 is less then 100. So i call wb to ask what is going on. Well the answering service voice says my speeds have been slowed down. So i talk to a rep and ask her how i can be faped at 98 percent. We'll she feeds me some BS line about how the downgrade was actually processed yesterday and that when it was processed it put me slightly over 100 percent. I'm sorry but that a load of BS i was At 9:30 am this morning i was still on the pro pack and my meter was only at 60 some percent. In short in the past couple days they have done everything they can to screw me over. I called on the 26th to have my service downgraded and i'm sure it was no accident that they waited until after they took this months money to downgrade me. The magic fap is also crap. Mods feel free to move this to rants and ravs but i just wanted to post it here as more people will see it and i think people need to know the type of crap this company pulls. I know some will say stop bitching and get another service or complaining want make the service better and their right sat is gonna suck no matter how much i bitch. Here's the thing though no matter how bad sat sucks i should not be treated like this as a customer Also this isn't the first time that i've been faped without ever going over 100 percent. It's ok though because while i'm not a rich man i have some wu money coming in a few weeks and i'm gonna use it to buy a melinicon modem and a desktop antenna and amp and cancel my wb service even if the 3g only halfway works i would rather do that then put up with the crap wb is putting me through. I've called them and voiced my complaints and their basic response has been screw you we ain't doing anything to help. Well if things go well i will be able to call them at around the end of the month and say screw you to.

Now, consumers wanting it their way, when they want it their way, will generally have issues, especially when they are clueless.

Heres the simple method to get justice.
Call your States attorney general's consumer protection office and allege 'theft by Wildblue'(they waited until just after billing date to lower your package), including 'fraud', for failure to lower your package as requested months ago. Simple math calculates as: $30 times 'X months' = money for food for your family for this month, due to your very tight budget.
$30 is a tank of gas to get to work, instead of hitchhiking.
$30 is recreation for enjoyment of life.
$30 is avoiding the repo man.
You called in at a certain date and to then be fair, Wildblue should of made the changes within 72 hours.
Failure to do the change in a reasonable amount of time results in Wildblue getting your money for free for a month. The credit you have coming should include Interest(pennies really but still it's the Interest earned that you lost for a month).
Lets say that your bank account got overdrawn and penalized due to Wildblue not lowering of you package within 72 hours. As you did not see a need to have the extra $30 in your account. The overdraw fee can be billed to Wildblue for their negligence to provide the downgrade within 3 days. Once again your States attorney Generals consumer office shall be needed to bill Wildblue.
Corporations make massive amounts of money by making it hard for people to do things easily. Unfortunately, some people will defend the corporations methods of robbing customers on a daily basis.

So i got double screwed i paid for a level of service that i'm not getting and on top of that i can hardly even surf the net due to a magic fap It took me 4 minutes just to open this page Anyway whining to you guys doesn't do much good but i just thought people needed to know the type of crap wb likes to pull and if i persuade even 1 person to pass them it's a small victory. To be fair if wb does the right thing and at the very least turns my speeds back up i'll report but i wouldn't hold my breath.
You would be doing us all a favor, assuming you would actually like more people to read and understand your rant, if you would put in a paragraph break every few lines.
At least with my tired old eyes it is very tough to keep focus on the proper line when shifting back from the right side to the left. On my wide HD monitor there were 13 lines in your first post. On a narrower monitor there would be 18 lines or more. For example at XVGA (1024x768) there are 22 lines in that single paragraph.
If you end up writing any Attorney's General, keep in mind the readability issues. Writing can be therapeutic, and if that's all you want (i.e. you are writing purely for your own reading), disregard my criticism. Writing usually, however, is designed to be read.

That use to be the way they did it. Upgrade to a higher package now, but to downgrade, it happened after or on your billing date.
