Might be a ram heat issue
one reason that ram heatsinks and coolers are a good idea

based on the way you describe the cycle I'd think theres some heat issue so with all the info provided I'd bet the 2 sticks of ram got to hot and in time started over heating and causing a reboot

Check the warrenty on that ram, my last computer had corsair XMS w/ a lifetime warrenty, when I contacted them the end result was they replaced my 2x 512mb DDR3200's with 2x 1GB DDR3200's

I have the same ram series, but the 2Gb version. Already sent the rma request to Corsair.

I don't think it was a heat issue, my PC has a lot of cooling and the chips were not even warm to the touch.
