I dunno if this is a bad sign. The odds seem to favor that heavily promoted movies tend to suck.

The second Batman (Nolan directed) was promoted heavily and came out really well.

*nods* though the odds seem against it. I think it looks good, but then again I thought the same of other movies that turned out to suck.

I have shudders. SOO stoked to see this.

Advertising does not make a movie.

Nolan has proven he can push actors to the brink and make amazing movies. I doubt this will be any different.

Whats the release date?

I just bought an IMAX ticket for the Friday it comes out - I can't wait to see this

This is the first movie I've seen in a while selling advance seats TWO weeks early.

That video makes me want to see the movie more than I originally wanted to. Marketing works, huh?
I like action movies as much as the next guy, but I really like action movies that have a good story to tell, and this looks like it has a pretty good story to back up the explosions.

I might check out a Tuesday morning matinee like I did for Prometheus.

I'm soooo hyped to see this, but I'm not sure how I feel about this being the "end to the legend", so to speak. I think Christopher Nolan's adaptation was by far the best and would like to see it continue, so long as the quality doesn't suffer.

Yeah, I definitely want to see this,…..

I don’t see this as being the last Batman movie though,…that just doesn’t seem likely at all.

OK, finally back from my batman 3 imax outting so here's the straight dope;
that coupon for a free 32oz cup of soda and ice worked without any grief.
this third movie will NOT break new records as it's more like the first movie.
imagine the first movie with more real daylight mayhem, then night CGI.
so if you were expecting anything in the same league as the joker flick
you will be dissapointed - so go with the first movie in mind and have a
good time. IMAX is not important, but do see it on a big screen, not pirated.
in a week I'll post more specific issues since i don't want to spoil your fun

Yeah, i thought it was the best one. I couldn't find any flaws in this movie (if medical facts aren't considered).

I wondered this as well.

Could you possibly live off on IV nutrition as long as it has everything the body needs?

I found a major flaw.

How the hell did that young cop know Bruce Wayne was Batman simply by looking at his face when he came to the orphanage. That's not enough to know he's The Bat. Major plot hole to me.

Also, no way you are recovering from no cartilage in your elbows and knees, and a broken back and back in top fighting form again that quickly.

Other than that, I loved it and thought it was a fantastic movie!

I guess I assumed a great bond between mr cop and the bat.

I believe he was using hydrolic knee braces. Safe to assume he has them for the rest of the body.

it looked to me that he had some sort of knee brace that fox made that allowed him to use his leg again.

As to Bane, ya its possible to get all you need via IV, just think of coma patiants.

Or maybe Bane just deals with the pain for a short time each time he eats

Saw it today. Thought it was great, as good if not better than the 2nd one. Great acting, story and action.

Only thing that sucked is a manager at the concession stand wouldn't honor the free soda coupon that Paceteers posted. She said it was a scam or something. I said I didn't think it was but she wouldn't budge. Ended up buying sodas where we usually smuggle in our own soda, water and food. $20 for two sodas and popcorn is a crime. At least it was a early show for $6.

Yeah, that was medically impossible to recover from in 4 months. My fucking thumb wouldn't recover that quick.

FYI: a low res english version of batman 3 is out today, but make sure you use a vpn/proxy to get it. peers are being pinged by Warner Brothers and a NY and UK based sniffer they may have subcontracted. after i watch it again i'll post my opinion of this movie.

It's a shitty cam print. It's a disgrace to watch it like that. Wait for the bluray rip.

Ok, went to see this Monday. I really enjoyed it. It didn't drag, and didn't seem like a near 3 hour movie.

Catwoman? Awwww yeah!

Complaints? Yes, I have a few, but my major one:

Bane being so "powerful" made sense in the comics, as he always pumped himself with venom which was basically roid-rage, the movie Bane wasn't this way, and thus his power didn't make sense. Sure, you can claim it's the mask blocking his pain that gives him the power, but it just doesn't work for me. They did a good job showing him as badass, but I just didn't like that. Breaking the venom lines was the way for Batman to beat him, or at least cut his overbearing power. Instead I'm to believe he healed from a broken back in such a short time frame, and was also far more powerful strength wise.

One other complaint was Bane was so damn hard to understand. Too many times I found myself saying "What the hell did you say?" So they should've done more to make what he says understandable.

But I'll be seeing it again with one of my friends when I go visit MA in a week. Looking forward to it.

Was it better than #2? I don't think so, but it was great in it's own way.

I agree.

I think it came off as natural brute strength mixed with league of shadow training. I think he came off well because of how he choose to off the people that came in his way. It wasn't with a gun, but more physical strength manuvers.

Knee to face. Neck break. Back break. All feats of physical domination.
