Which network/channel for local news do you watch?I normally watch channel CBS, or NBC. The news team on Fox annoys the heck out of me, why Murdoch insists on hiring bimbos to get ratings is beyond me, I am willing to bet lots of viewers find it annoying. That said, that daytime news woman on CBS is annoying too.
What channel do you watch and why?
Needless to say, I am not asking about FNC/MSNBC/CNN but LOCAL news. |

None. Local TV news is a fluffy waste of time. |

None. Barely watch the news to start with. And when I do I am least interested about what the owner of the liquor store has to say about the shoplifting at the nearby bakery where the thief took a chocolate chip muffin. |

NBC (30) but if we want to see the news at 10 we go with FOX (the only option) |

Local news operations, in general, have gone steadily downhill for at least the last 20 years. 3, 8 and 30 used to be exceptions in this area, but sadly they're now sinking with the rest. Fox used to be the most amateurish local news operation in the state. now it's one of the better ones. Eyewitness News >>> "I'm Witless News" I listen to several police scanners. 3/4 of the 'news' you hear there is never reported to the news media, even when it probably should be. If the 'local' papers still had local reporters who knew how to be reporters, they'd have their own scanners and would be listening themselves. BTW: For Hartford news and info: » www.realhartford.org/ These are the type of stories that used to be in the Hartford Times [I have fond memories of the Times] or the Courant ['or', not 'and'; the different papers had different news items, imagine that!] when newspapers had a use other than fishwrap. |

I get 90+ percent of my news from online sources now, but when I need local TV news I usually turn on NBC Connecticut (NBC 30)... guess I should remain loyal as I used to work there many years ago.. |

NBC30 does a better job for me.
