Microsoft Corp. welcomes thousands of employees and corporate partners from more than 150 countries to Toronto today as part of its annual Worldwide Partner Conference, the largest gathering of the year for the Redmond, Wash.-based software giant.

I think the idea is that it lands on store shelves at the same time as PCs with it pre-installed do. Those (from manufacturers) have a 3 month lead time.

| Yep, they already won me and four technical friends over. One of them is still happily running Windows 8 on his 1GB of RAM Netbook and he's been using it a lot. |
