Clearwire Voyager Hotspot Leaves Port 53 Open

I just did a scan using "Shields Up" (www.grc.com) of my Clearwire Voyager Hotspot.

I was shocked to see the result: Only ports 21, 23 and 80 are in "stealth" and port 53 is open. All other ports are "closed".

(routers like the D-Link DIR-625 have all ports in stealth mode)

I called Clearwire 2nd level tech support and was advised that it is not possible to close port 53.

I already have turned off "ping" and "remote access" in setup.

Any advice?

Port 53 is needed for DNS resolution. i.e. from google.com to 123.456.789.012.
