 | [TV] whole house dvr i am looking for more details on the whole house DVR . We currently have 2 DVR'S and 3 regular converter boxes and are looking to pick up at least one more additional converter box and another DVR for 2 additional rooms.
will i be saving money by switching to the whole house DVR setup vs just getting an additional DVR? the rooms without DVR's don't have a strong need for them as they are not used often but it would be a nice added feature to have if the price was right.
i saw on the website that their is an install fee how much does that run and how long does it usually take the tech to setup the system?
Lastly how have your experiences been with the system do you find it worthwhile or would you rather each TV have its own DVR? |

| reply to xteddyx I cant answer the billing side of things, there are variations depending on what you really want that will adjust the bill (how many actual dvr's vs client boxes being the biggest)
The system itself is pretty nice, its great being able to finish something you started in one room in another and not having to record the same series in 2 locations because your not sure if you want to watch it in bed or in the living room at the time of setting up the recording.
You also end up getting nice boxes and the system itself is pretty reliable, hardly ever are there issues with it working properly. I say do it if it makes financial sense (usually does). |

I know we were working on an issue for your parents a while ago and that seemed to die out. -- ~All truth goes through three phases. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed.
