DSL Outage in So.Florida area

Just discovered that ATT has what their phone response says, when you can get through, a major outage in this area.
Doesn't affect all sites but quite a few for me.

I was on the phone last night with the dumbest girl I have ever come across . She wanted me to clear my cookies to fix this outage.

I can connect to some sites just fine but some just stall. I get no timeouts or anything. They are just forever loading.

I'm in Kendall.

Hope they sort this soon.

Seems like a dns issue since I cannot access some sites. All south Florida should ask to get credit for the day as they steal a lot from us

I have been having the same issues since around 4 AM this morning in Miami. It is frustrating because I take classes online and websites were/are unbearably slow to not working at all.

I tried to call ATT but got tired of waiting on the line and hung up. I expected them to give the same crappy technical support as the last time I called. Please let me know of any updates to the situation

I'm in Kendall as well and have the same problem. I got through to AT&T after about a ten minute hold this morning and was told it could be tomorrow before it's fixed. I found a solution though.

I connected with the proxy I use for public WIFI. I can now connect to any site. I logged off to see if the problem had just been fixed but could not connect without the proxy. I logged back into the proxy and could connect again.

I've been having the same problem. Glad it's not just me, at least it means I don't have to spend further hours on the phone with AT&T's abysmal customer support to get them to fix a problem.

I was on with tech support today as well with this issue. I also live in Kendall and the tech was troubleshooting everything under the sun and had no idea that there is an outage in this area. I'm getting a new router out of it though.

I do my work from home and I can tell you, AT&T DSL is by far the worst internet connection i've ever used since I've been working in IT. I think it's time to move onto a different vendor.

What router are they giving you? A 2 wire?

At least the tech got you to reboot a few dozen times, no?

Same for me in the Miami Beach area, glad it's not just me.

Tried using OpenDNS and have the same problems, also get massive packet loss when playing online games.

Ive had this issue since at least 10 PM, Weds Night. Websites will not load at all at times - other times some sites will load but not others.

Thought it was a DNS issue - Switched to Google Dns servers - Dident really make a difference.

Very very frustrating... Still going on now.

Lol, even the guy at Taco Bell told me the internet was slow and thats why cards were being processed so slowly. He didn't give me a chance to explain about the outage though.

AT&T has a cut fiber cable in Dade County causing this outage.

I work for at&t tech support for spanish people, in some cases the are outages that are not officially declared by the central office, sometimes we are the last to know what is happening, we tried to do as much as we can, but at&t scope of support doesnt let us know what is happening far away from our own desks. FYI, if u are using a motorola, 2wire, westell 6100 modem, or any other older than 1 and a half year you will probably lost connection with no reason, that is for a global upgraded, so if hear that is necesary to replace your modem, DO IT!!

Also, there is no ETR for this mega outage, so dont hesitate too much to get this issue fixed, I know that in some cases at&t sucks with her customer service, but we do as much as we can

I just tried Calling the Support line. The Recording after you confirm your account Phone # said the ETR was around 11 AM - Friday Morning... 1.5 day outage they are estimating? Really?

Better solution is to change to comcast and bid adieu to att which has been stealing my money for "usage" reasons. Funny thing I highly doubt we will get some kind of credit for this fiasco.

Wasn't the implementation of caps to ensure us a better network? I still refuse to pay $300 just to get uverse installed with no way to wage those fees. After more than 10 years with AT&T comcast is looking better or wait if Google is kind enough and give south Floridians some fiber love

My god, I was getting frustrated with this issue. I had to reset the modem, router, and the no change at all. Glad to hear it's not only me, and it's not an issue on my side.

The internet sometimes works. It loads some pages, and some not. Hopefully they can fix this soon.
