Technically they are read once they get pulled by the POP client.. Why in the world would someone use both options?
there is a VERY good reason
my mom was traveling to Thailand and was going to use (and used) internet Cafe's which could have keyloggers and etc etc...
so I did not want her to lose her@yahoo.com account when it's hacked etc...
so I created a temorary@gmail.com and upgraded her Yahoo! to Yahoo! Mail Plus to be able to get email from it via POP3
so while she was away she was using the temorary@gmail.com that could be compromised and lost and it's no problem...
=== but I did not know / find an option to forward all mail - back then - maybe it was a feature of Yahoo! Mail Plus back then - a year ago = good I will not need to pay for Yahoo! Mail Plus for next year and save $20 a year...
hmmm per this looks like Forwarding is part of Yahoo! Mail Plus
