"Frictionless Sharing" - am with you OP... Socialcam NSFW spam posts started appearing in my News Feed without my interaction, it was only because some of my friends were using it (alot!). I just treated them like other posts in the News Feed, do not delete them, just block the app's posts from appearing in the News Feed!

facebook tracks you on the web, it's possible that while surfing for adult content they ASSumed ads for adult content are acceptable.
ABP and the facebook privacy ABP filter gets rid of all this & firefox ghostery extension will block the tracking as well. |

| If you are being bombarded with Ads like these than you are not FBing right. People act like FB steals your identity, your credit card, and makes purchases for you. I've never been once influence or manipulated by FB to make a purchase. For years social networks like Xanga and Myspace operated and no one really cared. FB seems to be the first big mainstream social network and old farts are just paranoid. |

I too got the soft-porn trending thing. I went ape-shit all over Google and the Facebook help, no luck. I can't even get Facebook to stop sending me texts and emails, even though I have turned all that stuff off.
I did figure out that you can click the X in the upper right corner of any ad, click "hide all by ...", then click the reason as 'uninteresting'. Facebook will stop showing you those ads. Useful in this political season. |

Yeah, and the best way to fix high gas prices is to just stop driving -- whats your point? The OP looked for a solution to one specific problem he had with FB, and we provided a solution. Problem solved.
People are certainly entitled not to use it if they dont like their practices or the site itself.. But the OP seemed to indicate that he/she would like to continue using it, but without the BS that was posted when he viewed his wall. |

Yeah Social Fixer is a good Tool but it does come with a cost of a performance hit to page loading.
Adblock on the other hand in Firefox and I think also Chrome will block a lot of junk like this. |

Actually I know it is a Satire, but the FB Hate is just as much of a Satire. Really folks if one does not like it then leave it. I see people that are Tech Challenged all the time. Usually they are much worse then average to. I run FB with Adblock Plus and I NEVER see anything like what the OP posted in his/her picture.
I guess Sarcasm does not go over to well when typed LOL. |
