Re: [Rant] THis is why Facebook needs to go away! It's tragic the way people can't distinguish satire from reality. |

Well, today, there's a "trending article" buried in the middle of my news feed.
I think this is FB experimenting or testing. |

I think this is FB experimenting or testing. That is exactly what I was seeing. I sort by most recent and if I had been away for a while and starting scrolling down, the "trending" crap would typically show up somewhere in the middle of my feed.
I have since put socialcam manually in my blocked apps, along with another trending article that showed up today which allowed me to block the article's owner which was yahoo. |

You, and a few others, keep pointing at SocialCam though. This is NOT just about SocialCam, as shown in your original post. MSN is involved as well. |

HallPremium,MVM join:2000-04-28 Dayton, OH kudos:2 | I believe I've only seen "Trending Video" from SocialCam and it was 1-2 times only. I have watched 2-3 videos on SocialCam and it was weeks ago. Of course, FB never forgets anything... What I suspect is my "friends", and a fair number of them, watch these videos. |

 | reply to ropeguru If you didn't have a FB account, you wouldn't see any of that.
Just sayin'. |

Adblock on the other hand in Firefox and I think also Chrome will block a lot of junk like this. Any way to stop this on the iOS app? -- --Standard disclaimers apply.-- The preceding posting is null and void in Arizona and any other jurisdiction where prohibited by law. |

There is an "X" available now. I think the other times I'd seen this show up there was no "X". Note the choices though -- no "Hide Trending..." option available. |
|
ropeguruPremium join:2001-01-25 Mechanicsville, VA | That is exactly what I am seeing and I am using the "Hide all by" option. However, it is still really annoying just not being able to turn of the entire trending thing.
I have had ones pop-up with sites I have never heard of. |

 | reply to ropeguru That's like shooting the messenger. The internet is full of porn! It's a shame facebook is one of the medium but it would be unfair to blame it. |

 | reply to AVD No clue. I ran Social Fixer for about a Week and on Hughesnet Satellite it made it even slower then "normal" (And that is saying something.) However Adblock with Firefox works awesomely. I have no experience with iOS at all. |

 | reply to mastsethi How many times a year have you come across such kind of stuff? |
