Re: Mozilla Firefox 14.0.1 Final It's up to the developers of those sites to properly set the favicon and use encryption.
Looking at the US Bank link you provide, I see a lock in FF.
EDIT: US Bank starts with the lock, then redirects the page to one that removes the lock. |

The icon in the address bar now indicates the security level of the page. A gray globe indicates the page sends data unencrypted. If encryption is in place, there are two levels. The top level will show with a lock and the name of the page owner. There is a middle level which I'm not awake enough to remember the details. Problem is, I'm set up so that the tab doesn't show if there is only one 'tab' open. That generally means no favicon at all... |

 | Then don't do that. |

 | reply to chachazz I see the "god dam" + signs are still there something i have constantly emailed the people at Mozilla about. I still use only versions prior to version 3.68 as it was the last version before these lucid + signs showed up that you couldn't get rid off. Anyone know of any modified version of Firefox later than version 3.68 without the + signs? |

I could be wrong, that's only one plus sign. Which is easy to get ride of, just customize the tool bar and drag it off. Piece of cake.

With the older versions I also used the same setup -- why reduce the page viewing area with a tab bar with only one tab; especially with a notebook's smaller display.
But with the recent version Fx versions when you hide the Menu bar the tabs are on the top of the Fx window, so no reduction of the page area.

 | reply to NICK ADSL UK Anyone else notice there's some funny business going on with the 14.0.1. EN-US installer? The installer you'll get when you download from Mozilla's official site will have an MD5 of C1EAC5F9C2F8AC7AEC9099BC2C4D8F71, but that doesn't match the checksum Mozilla gives at »releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla···/MD5SUMS , which is 59d886ff306b8a5890d47b1bae50cd3c. Now what's one to make of that? Seems like there are two versions of that installer out there, and no news on what the difference is. -- Limited User Accounts. Software Restriction Policies. |
