He was 71.

I remember a few of my musician friends who we teased, telling them of these new amplifier models where the numbers on the volume dials went up to ELEVEN, rather than to ten.
We told them that these amps would be louder than their predecessors, and they believed us, at least until we told them that we were just pulling their legs.
I TOO enjoyed the vintage DP, and Lord's playing, and various groups in which I played did cover some of their tunes. |
