scotsAre we there yet??Premium join:1999-12-06 Raleigh, NC kudos:1 | Discounts? I have a FAN discount on my account due to who I work for. I'm curious if I'd still get the discount if I switched to this shared data plan. If I get the discount I'd end up paying about the same price, but would get unlimited talk instead of 700 minutes. We never use all the 700 minutes, but getting unlimited for the same price might finally prompt me to dump the house phone. |

 | I'm in the same boat. For my family, these prices are within $5 of our current rate. As long as I still get my FAN discount the cost is basically a wash plus I'll have 3G for my iPad. |

 | reply to scots The question is, what will the discount apply to. Currently I get a FAN discount on the price of my voice plan, but nothing off messaging or data. It will be interesting to see how this works.
The discount could make this save me money as opposed to costing me more money, depending on how it's applied.

Remains to be seen what my (large) corporation does, we get 25% off voice and non-unlimited data packages. Works out to $16.25 off my monthly bill, a sizable amount! I want to just keep everything the same for my next contract in 3-4 months, seems like I will be able to for now. |
