The most typical scenario ATT wants you to succumb to is buying one of their subsidized handsets at the same time you take service. WHY ON EARTH would someone who already has a handset go and buy ATTs ridiculously expensive service when they are already free from the contract shackles to go with many other cheaper alternatives. You would have to have a frontal lobotomy to do such a stupid thing.
Hardly. When I wanted the Google Nexus One, I went direct to google and bought it. Then I dropped my AT&T SIM in it and went along my merry way.
I think it's great you love your Straight talk service. But you don't see me or anyone else calling you names because of it.
