[3DTV] Is RCN 3D MPEG-2 or MPEG-4?

I have RCN Digital Cable in Boston, and a Tivo Series 3 DVR. Re the upcoming NBC 3D broadcast of the Olympics, I would like to know if the signal will be MPEG-2 or MPEG-4. My understanding is that I can pass (and record) MPEG-2 3D signals through the Tivo, but not MPEG-4 (which is what Comcast is now using).

Thank you.

I believe it's going to be MPEG 2 just like our 3D VOD.

Thank you for the fast response, as I am looking into buying a 3DTV shortly.

I did not know RCN had 3D VOD. As I cannot get VOD with my Tivo (because I use cable cards), and I do not need a second DVR, does RCN offer a non-DVR set top box that I could use to get VOD (which presumably would be less expensive than a DVR set top box)?

Yes they do. Regular HD boxes are $9.95/mo
