I wonder I mean its not like EVGA changes the GPU. and I had the problems even if I went back to stock (or as shipped) setting and my GPU fan is set as fast as it can be (so heat shouldn't be an issue)
to add to heat not being an issue, the ambiant room temp was 64f, the case has positive pressure (from 3x 120's on the front blowing in) and I've looked and no dust.
it was something funky with the driver in general, it would report 3d clock-rates, but would be running 2d, and not switching properly back and forth, mine would go to 2d clock rates and get stuck there no matter what i was doing.
