If the coordinates are captured by the camera, they are stored in the EXIF data of the image. EXIF data can be accessed by most photo editing applications. Some editors and web sites will strip some or all of the data, so results may be varied. There are several Firefox add-ons that can display the information. I use this one; »araskin.webs.com/exif/exif.html This one adds a "view EXIF " when you right click an image.

Here's the location of the image EGeezer See Profile posted the EXIF info of. Took me longer to create the image and post than to determine the location.
