Problems with PPPoE server (London) ?

At about 11 pm tonight, I lose my internet connection at home.

I bring up my router's http interface and it has no IP address and it's trying to make a connection - which it ultimately doesn't. It says it can't connect to the PPPoE server.

I bypass the router and connect my Diamond modem directly to my PC and have a look at what it's doing. It's DSL lights are coming on, and on the info screens I'm getting 7040/800 connection. I add PPPoE connection (I try VCI 33 and 35) and enter my username/password, but it also can't seem to make a login connection.

Is there any Bell page giving any network stats or outages that would indicate a pppoe problem at this time?
