Re: L4D2 I had a lot of fun on my games, made a couple tweaks to the config file and windows so my mic does not look for the plug one intsead on the built in.
You guys had very good starts as infected too while we couldnt land those initial charges into the starting room. -- "Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." |

You sat down in that gully, then you popped up to punch one of us and toss a rock, then ran around under the road as I chased you, coming back around to hit the other survivors. JobbieKeep It SimplePremium join:2010-08-24 Mexico kudos:1 | LOL! thanks man, I didn't know what the tank was I thought I was a regular charger but then the timer started for me to start attacking or lose the tank so I had to sprint to catch up with your group fell a couple times on the "ladder" things for infected and was about to run out of time when I found Antonica behind by herself trying to fight some zombies then I hear you all yelling to get my infected ass.
After being the tank you killed me more times that I remember.
Best moment of the day was smacking energy's charger in the face with a guitarr in one shot as he was turning around a corner, "boom! headshot!"
My worse infected version is the hunter since I can't seem to land that damn leap.
I agree with KrisN that we need some king of "Marine-Lite" training on how to move as a team and covering each other.
Look forward to getting more games in and learning the game. -- "Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." |

KristopherI got a 4Premium join:2002-10-11 Tyrinaria kudos:4 | Couple of things that I remember from the infected side:
In the tunnel of love, KrisN or Energystream had someone locked up in a corner as a smoker, and I spit venom on him as a spitter, then proceeded to slash him with my claws. Got him dead before anyone could get to him.
Using that leaper to keep someone away from a downed Nick to end the round.
We were preparing to force you guys to start the witch, when someone shot her. Hilarity ensued.
I used my only successful charger attack to push Archivis all the way across the stage and down the one side of it, where I proceeded to bash him to death. No one could get to him in time.
Fun times. Being on the survivors team is a bit stressful though. -- Play DSLr Mafia: »Pub Games |

 | reply to Kristopher That was me Kris, and that was the best kill. I also got someone else at the same exact spot, when Jobbie came around looking to shoot me.
The smoker usually sucks but if you can get to a hidden spot it's hilarious. |

KristopherI got a 4Premium join:2002-10-11 Tyrinaria kudos:4 | Another strategy I read is to find something to hide behind that you can jump up to see the survivors. If you time it right, and are a bit lucky, you can jump and spit the tongue out - hopefully connnecting with one. Then you drag them towards you while being behind cover. -- Play DSLr Mafia: »Pub Games |

I could have sworn Valve fixed that a while ago...
If not, yeah, it is a very good tactic for keeping yourself alive. Just remember, that as a Survivor, you can shoot the tongue if you don't have a line on the Smoker. -- From Psychonauts - Lungfish Civilian: (describing Goggalor) He's impervious to bullets! ... and love! -- |

Playing as the Infected is one of the best parts of the L4D series, especially after Valve added the Jockey. It is hilarious to hear that little bastard make his noises as he runs and freaking out the Survivors. And then riding one of the Survivors like a bronco, whilst getting their teammates to shoot the shazbot out of their friend, is just priceless. -- From Psychonauts - Lungfish Civilian: (describing Goggalor) He's impervious to bullets! ... and love! -- |

KristopherI got a 4Premium join:2002-10-11 Tyrinaria kudos:4 | Yeah, but some of the players were obviously more experienced by far. They coordinated their special attacks everytime. We need to get better as the survivors. I think moving forward is the most important thing. Sticking around to fight is where we all die. I understand looking for items, but not every corner. I think this is holdover habit from playing virtually every other type of survival game out there, from RE to Dead Space to Skyrim. Leave no stone unturned. Not in L4D2. Pinky just took off and made it to the end by himself while I was hanging on the edge of the bridge with a hunter ripping into me for about 30 seconds. If we stayed within 10-15 ft of each other, we would have all finished alive. -- If we lose this freedom of ours, history will record with the greatest astonishment, those who had the most to lose, did the least to prevent its happening. |
