Android4 = cant set static ip...

Droid RAZR was just upgraded to android4 yesterday, via download (I didn't do it manually, or using any unusual techniques) Now I can't set a static IP on my phone.

I'm in the right place, where I can select "Auto | Static | DHCP". When I select "Static", all the fields change, so it lets me put in the IP / gateway / mask etc etc... BUT: when I do this, the 'Connect' button greys out. There's no other save button.

if I stay DHCP, the connect button remains available, but I like to be statically-defined in my house - added security against people jumping on my network.

What am I doing wrong?

I'm not sure why your having issue with setting static settings and forgive me for going off topic but using static IP's vs DHCP is no real security and is trivial to determine IPs in use on the network, just use WPA2 (or if necessary WPA) and disable WPS and turn DHCP on IMHO, much more secure then just using static IP.

Oh, I'm using MAC filtering as well, and I literally have a spreadsheet with all 'approved' MACs in my house so I know what's kosher.

Otherwise, does anyone see issues in setting a static IP in Android4, as I've described?

OP here -- I've got a Droid RAZR and it was just upgraded to Android 4.0.4. Does anyone else see where the 'Connect' button greys out when you select 'static'?
