It's done with software Elwood. There is nobody there counting individual lightning strikes. Both the MNR and Power Companies track lightning storms. It can be kind of impactive on both.

we just have some major rain roll through here...the rain gauge has 2 inches of water in it in a storm that looked to last about 2 hours, with about an hour of it coming down pretty good. |
