Digital Tuner FTA station in VLC

Have a hard time getting a digital FTA station using VLC. It works fine in tuner's software but I want to broadcast a station on my network. Is this possible? I'm not able to get any station in VLC. Please help!

This might be better placed in the Mac or Linux forums where VLC is actually used.
