All your favorite channels?

Not quite. A dozen spanish channels, no HBO.
So much for innovation.

And why force subscribers to buy $70 internet if they only want the TV package?

Why a 2-year contract? What's the ETF?

$50 for basic cable with three movie networks isn't bad, especially if they aren't charging for STBs, but they don't disclose what the equipment costs.

0. If you don't like their TV selection, pick another TV provider.
1. They're trying to get gigabit into every home. Not requiring Internet for TV is counter to this. Also, it's $70 per month more to subsidize the fiber router box, STB and storage box with. From the specs on those things, they aren't cheap, even at Google scale.
2. My bet is that the ETF is $300, the same price as the install fee if you dont sign a contract.

Ever stop to think that they haven't finished negotiating with other channel providers? We know you like pissing in everyone's Cheerios, but get real.

I'm certain that we will see the product offering evolve.

But unless the pay-tv issue is addressed, and unless a more moderate pricing tier is available, they will have a hard time getting people to subscribe.

Cable has deep pockets too, and as we've seen in other markets, they can afford to buy the business for a few years. AT&T has done likewise.

Households buy pay-tv for the broad choice of channels, which FiberHood doesn't have, and most are satisfied with the $20-30 broadband tiers.

A third leg in the last-mile is mostly a good thing, but its no good if its not scaleable and sustainable.

I think it's safe to say that their lineup is what it is for now, given that they have set pricing.
