 1 edit | [CDV] Have to Reboot Modem or Voice Goes Out. I have had Comcast for a month and a half. Everything has been fine until yesterday when we had a bad storm here in northwest Indiana. When the power finally came back on we started to have our voice/ phone service go out, the internet still works.
The problem is a fast busy-signal when I pick up the phone. The only way to fix this is to reset the modem. Then after about 1-3 hours there is a fast busy signal again and I have to reset the modem to get the phone to work right again.
The modems status page says it is a ARRIS DOCSIS 3.0 / PacketCable 2.0 Touchstone Telephony Gateway. MODEL: TG862G This is what the modems event log says when the voice/ phone service goes out:

Also I cannot find it on the log anymore but earlier I noticed something that said chi.il.comcast server was timing out or something. I cannot remember the exact details about that but it sounds like something in Chicago? |
