A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for the D.C. region until 1 a.m.
The words "possible derecho" popped up during the evening weather forecasts. Even without that, these storms are packing some seriously heavy weather and twisters. They're not expecting them to make it down to the immediate DC area tonight, but do take heed if you're further north of town. That derecho came through between 10PM and 1AM. Be prepared and be safe.
