You guys are going to love this one. This is what happens when a "maintenance guy fixes the phones". I walked out on this one. Never touched this mess other than the software on the equipment. |

|
 | reply to Clever_Proxy Not bad. But it looks like a call center, or worse emergency dispatch?
It's easily fixable. Just a load of cable management. All the pieces to make it work are there, it looks like it's just a case of DOING it.
Not scary. Annoying, but surprisingly fixable. |

 | reply to Clever_Proxy I'm kind of surprised, actually. I don't do a lot of work with hardware so I don't see much.
I would hate to attempt to clean up something worse than this. |
|
 | That is just sad. I would have walked away too. |

Seems like a real uphill battle at first, but there's a real feeling of satisfaction when you're done. Of course it's likely that within a couple of years you may have to start all over again.. |

 | reply to Clever_Proxy I'd love to get that for a cleanup job.
It's not as bad as it looks. Everything you need for the job is right there. It's practically a matter of just re-dressing things. The back punching job needs to be re-done, but it looks like there's plenty of slack to work with.
Looks like a proper install that was just never maintained and became a run-away. |

The back looks rather ugly. |

Yep, someone definitely did get lazy. Too lazy to stock up on various lengths of cables. Either that or they got a very very good deal on 10' cables. |
