ZyXELL Model: P871M on Telus turbo2 ?Is anyone using a ZyXELL Model: P871M with telus 25Mbs turbo2 vdsl2?
I need a straightforward modem rather than the double NAT imposed by Telus's v100h. |

I don't have that model rather a Zyxel P870MI1 V2 and it worked ok. I was able to bridge my Actiontec so I just use it. Same performance...
I seem to remember you have to be careful what vdsl profiles are supported and the p870 was good for Telus
Not sure if this helps. |

The Zyxel P871M is not compatible with Telus' network. The modem does not support the right or fast enough profiles. |

You need a modem that supports the annex 8b profile such as the P870H-51a V2. The P871M only supports annex 8a and 12a. |

Thanks to everyone for their helpful replies.
Based on this I obtained a P-870M-1 v2. It works just fine and right out of the box and exactly meets my needs. Thanks again for everyone's advice.
PS Without your replies I wouldn't have even known about the various vdsl2 profiles.
For the record: ZyLeX claims that the P-870M-1 v2 supports the following profiles:
8a,8b,8c,12a,12b , 17a and 30a. |

Glad it's doing the job and yes the p870M1 v2 worked out of the box and cost me $20. For that price it was worth checking it out... |
