I wonder what went wrong with this -- did the mule really just give a wrong address, did the criminals see this come up (maybe they use Google whatchamacallit to monitor for certain key words and this thread popped up), did something else mess up?
I do hope Apple retrieves that shipment.

i also think the OP did a stellar job even catching the email. If I had that much "junk" in my inbox i would have just deleted it all.--

I would have suspected something was up, because even my spam box does not get that full. First thing I would have done was look thru them and find the odd man out. Its pretty easy to find the odd man out, which in this case is the one that does have proper english spelling, and grammar, and isnt an ad or obvious scam mail. After all the spam and scam mail that I have seen, its really obvious which ones are legit and which ones aren't.
