simba1994 posted : Recent firmware upgrades have broken the TlModeChange link in Ubee modems.

To be placed in bridge mode, now you have to call in to the local office and have them do it. A bit frustrating, but I understand why. Besides, you shouldn't need to change this very often.

Ubee Modem/Router into true Bridge Mode

sjacob15 posted : Hey everybody,

I am new to the forum and Central Florida. I am a Network Engineer by day and am currently working towards CCIE certification. I have a full lab set up at home and needed to bridge the Ubee Modem/Router. I found this info posted elsewhere and thought I would share with anyone looking to do the same. If you are required to log into the Ubee modem/router the default credentials are as follows:
Username: user
Password: user

1. go to the following link on your home network:
»192.168.0.1/TlModeChange.asp
2. Select the radio button for Bridge mode: Enable
3. Hit the "Apply" button and the modem will reboot at that point.

Some other thoughts I felt I should add are: Make sure you have only one ethernet cable coming out of the Ubee to your device that needs the public IP address. (most accounts typically only allow for one MAC to be arped up with BrightHouse at any given time.) Ensure whatever device you have set up behind the Ubee is confiured to obtain an IP via DHCP. In addition once the Ubee modem/router is in "Bridge mode" to access the GUI you will need to go to »192.168.100.1 and you can always switch back to "Nat mode" by going to »192.168.100.1/TlModeChange.asp

Please let me know if you have any questions......

Thanks,

Shawn
