·Cogeco Cable

I like to contribute whenever I see something that stands out as "he didn't try this or this", but in this case it looks like he tried quite a lot. I've seen specific brands of routers that caused modem resets (there's a nefarious D-Link that can do it) but he tried straight to PC and still had the issue...

No D-link in this setup. I personally have a dislike for anything linksys or dlink. I have all netgear equipment and am starting to think about replacing it. I open to recommendations and links.

Is there any sort of underlying communication is occuring between cogeco and the modem.

this may be off interest ?
Just the other day I wanted to verify that we could get Acanac Cable Internet in Windsor, and instead I got an email from Acanac basically saying that they cannot accept any new customers at this time due to severe "network congestion" in Windsor ... ?

So, since Acanac offers "Unlimited" dl'ing now in Windsor, I guess a few dozen Acanac user's have managed to bring Windsor Cogeco/Cable bandwidth down to it's knees -LoL.
