USB Tethering for Chromebook CR48

Anybody figured out an app to USB tether a chromebook cr-48 to a Thunderbolt?

Why not just WiFi tether it?

Either way, I know WiFi Tether
Wireless Tether.
and FoxFi

all offer wireless, and USB tethering.

When I try to use Wifi with those apps, my phone prompts me to call customer service. When I try to use USB tether, my phone gives an error message related to, "SU."

I have been successful in tethering my Nexus 7 to the Thunderbolt, however I have been unable to find a tether client app in the chrome play store to pair it with.
