Front transmission cross member.. Stupid bolt is a fine pitch so I kept backing it out until I could feel where it jumped so I would know when to start screwing in the bolt..

Long story short it cross threaded and snapped the welded bolt in the car body, so I gotta cut a hole to get the nut off..

I know the dealer is going to want like $10-15 for the bolt but that still leaves me with a snapped nut in the body.

Any possible way to just completely redo it with a different more common bolt?

Maybe.. the bolt that comes out of it is a Metric 10.9 which is equivalent to Grade 8.
