Re: Looking for a hard to find bolt

Getting the old broken one out will prove problematic to say the least.

Is it a located nut or is it welded in place ?

Do you have a lift or are you working on the ground ?

What is in your tool box ?

you are making it seem harder then it is.

All I have to do is drive the car up on ramps, cut a flap inside over the bolt & nut, Hold the nut in place with something, grab my air impact wrench and take it out..

Then do it the other way around.

I used to work flat rate and know all the things that can go wrong but that was back in the 80's.

it's just a stupid fine pitch in which they call for something like 103 Ft-lbs on the bolt..

I think it cross-threaded because me trying to hold one side of the transmission up that was resting on the cross member and trying to make sure the bolt is backed out right so it would not cross tread in.

However I'm not the first this has happened to so I don't feel so bad.
