Re: [DSL] Cellpipe random reboots / loss of sync (Check logs ple

Well, logged on this evening and noticed I had a new IP address as of 17:22. According to the router log I had been up for 14199.7 minutes (9.86 days) since the new firmware went on the Cellpipe.

The Cellpipe had nothing at all in it's log since 07/23 when the new firmware went in and I put it into 'bridge' mode. Maybe that turns off the logging, I dunno.

There was a bunch of stuff in the router log, but I don't pretend to understand it, nor do I care much. I can live with 10 days of uptime. I'll see how long it goes this time.

If there is nothing in the cellpipe log, it didn't reset/reboot.

You would see it initialize from the beginning, you would see vdsl link up (or down) if you lost sync. The logging is still enabled if you use an external router. Mine's been up since July 23rd since the firmware was updated with no reboot or loss of sync. This is the last entry in my log since i cleared the log after the update and manually rebooted it to clear the memory.

Simply put, if you don't see any new entries in the log, nothing happened and the modem is working properly. Clear the log completely and that way you will know if you see something appear.

Looks like you still have a PPPoE login entered... mine's blank, hence there's no PPPoE messages. Make sure to turn off the UPNP garbage too.

I don't have any userid or password entered. I took them out back then and then did the reboot because that's what I thought put the modem into pseudo 'bridge' mode. I did have UPnP enabled, so I have now disabled that.
