Re: Hopefully FiOS expansion will be a requirement actually they do by having it a totally different company. Just because they appoint appoints mgt- it's still a separate company by law. They have their own EIN and are formed as a separate company.
As the gov't would be considered they are a different company. |

| Exactly. While Verizon Wireless may be a separate legal entity than Verizon (which itself is arguable since it is really a subsidiary), the decisions are made by the same people. There is one plan being worked on by the two obviously-not-separate companies.
Some people like to dream that VZW somehow sprang forth as a completely new company out of thin air. The truth is wireless has always been built and funded by the wireline companies. |
