[BC] Optik connection cuts weekly at the same time every week.
I haven't gotten 100% certainty on this, but I have caught this at times. I live in northern Coquitlam and I've noticed that our Optik connection seems to go down for about 5 minutes every week at roughly the same time: sometime between 5:00 and 6:00 PM on Friday. I've been at home to witness this sometimes, other times when I'm not home the connection state of some of my applications show that they had gone offline at some point, and my computer's event logs will usually point to DNS timeouts in that general timeframe. The times I have been home I've investigated and found that on occasion the modem will lose sync, and will refuse to sync up again after a restart for the next couple of minutes.
Not sure if any Metro Vancouverites have experienced anything like this in the past while. This isn't a 100% weekly event, but when it does happen, it happens all within that same timeframe. Anyone know what's up?
