You can usually tell pretty quickly if HPNA is not working well by looking at the PHY rates in the RG's diagnostic pages (or UV Realtime).
Doesn't that require the techs to have the time to actually pull up the stats and verify everything? As long as /something/ works, the installer can check off "install finished" and thus meet his ridiculous quota...
