[Exchange] Cannot get autodiscover to work

For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get autodiscover to work correctly. I have installed RPC over HTTP on the server. I have also tried setting up manually but cannot seem to get that to work either. OWA works flawlessly without any problem.

This is exchange server 2013 on windows server 2012. However, with that being said, I had the exact same problem with exchange server 2010 on windows server 2008 r2. I'm not sure what other information is needed other than this is my first exchange server installation (other than trying exchange server 2010 in the past)

any help would be great thanks in advance.
